Most Big Picture™ implementations require a moderate amount of consulting services, particularly in
the areas of site design, HTML layout, installation and configuration, training, data integration,
and customization. Big Picture™ consultants are product experts, able to turn your ideas and
needs into reality.
Project Management The Big Picture™ project manager will work with the client and personnel to ensure that the project progresses smoothly. The project manager will handle all formal client communication including billing and contract questions, scope inquiries, and timeline discussions. The project manager is the primary point of contact with the client organization. Site Design Big Picture™ consultants have developed and maintained corporate websites since 1997. The reputation of the company and its employees is riding on what others think of sites that are developed, keeping the team keenly aware of the impact of its designs. Every site is an original creation, developed in close collaboration with each individual client. Multiple design possibilities will be developed to capture the ideas presented in the content to be displayed on the site. Two distinct designs are offered to the client for possible implementation with the Big Picture™ Website Module. Client personnel are called upon to choose the best candidate for the site and then work with the Big Picture™ consultant to refine and finalize the design. This is typically done in two subsequent iterations following the selection of the best candidate. HTML Layout Once a design has been agreed upon, Big Picture™ consultants create the HTML layout for the site based on the design mockups. This layout is then coded into the Big Picture™ Website Module, attaching all purchased options as required. Installation/Configuration Big Picture™ consultants lead client personnel through the process of setting up the system. This includes installing the application on client infrastructure if necessary, creating organizations, users, and groups, setting up user rights, and ensuring that all purchased options are available and functional. Training Big Picture™ consultants utilize a "train the trainer" methodology that generally reduces the training investment for most clients. These intense sessions for system administrators teach the fundamentals of the system while preparing them to later pass the information on to all users of the system. Online and offline help is discussed in detail, ensuring that information required in the use and maintenance of the system is transferred. Data Integration In many Big Picture™ implementations there is additional information that must be integrated into the system. This data may be a product catalog, website content, or any other digital information that is needed in the system. Big Picture™ consultants work with client personnel to assemble and format the information to prepare it for import into the system. Customization Big Picture™ recognizes that "one size fits all software" cannot meet the needs of every client. Some Big Picture™ implementations require features that are not part of the current edition of the software. In most instances the addition of these features will require a Big Picture™ consultant to document the new requirements to be added by developers. This custom development is generally identified during initial meetings and may require additional investment. |
