Hess Gains New Pipeline Risk Analysis

Big Picture™ for Petroleum Services was recently implemented for Hess Corporation. A large part of IT in the petroleum industry is ensuring the availability of the right information and analysis.

To an increasing extent, the degeneration of pipeline coatings, decreasing pipe wall thickness caused by corrosion as well as other external factors, requires a reliable catalog of pipeline inventory, associated risk factors, and risk analysis to determine which pipeline segments to replace in a prioritized fashion.
